Race Night Success

Over 130 family members attended the Club’s race Night at Cheslyn Hay Community Club last night and although most left with lighter pockets, a great night was had by all.

The event raised £1,300 and praise is given to all horse owners, race sponsors and Trev and Maurice (our trusty bookmakers!).

The Club’s annual Race Night will this year take place at Cheslyn Hay Community Club on Friday, February 25th. 7.30 for 8.00 First race. Admission by purchase of a Race Card at £1 per person. There will be 8 races available for sponsorship at £50, with each horse available for purchase at £10 each.

Your support needed please for an event that is always enjoyable for all the family.

A reminder that the Club has organised a Race Night at Great Wyrley Football Club, Hazel Lane, Great Wyrley on Friday 23rd October. Doors open at 7.00 for a 8.00 first race. Entrance is by purchase of a Race Card at the door at £1 per adult – children are free.

These nights are always good fun – we look forward to seeing as many people as possible.

Girls Section Christmas Party – December 22nd!

Cheslyn Hay WMC function room has been booked for December 22nd for all Girls teams aged Under 14s and below to enjoy a Christmas Party, where they can enjoy a disco, organise their own buffet and swap cards and presents. There is a small charge of £1 per adult plus a raffle to cover the costs only.
Doors open at 7.30 for 8.00.

Please encourage your teams and players to attend.

Remember all profit made from your ticket sales will go to your team account.

Race Night

The Club is hosting another popular Race Night at Great Wyrley Football Club, Hazel Lane, Great Wyrley on Friday October 23rd, 7.30 for 8.00 first race.

Entrance (including race card) is £1 at the door for adults, with children free.

We are looking for each of the 64 horses to be sold at £10 each and sponsors for each of the 8 races at £25 each. Owners of the winning horses will receive a bottle of sparkling wine.

More details to be given at the first Club meeting of the season at Cheslyn Hay W.M.C. on September 21st, 8.30 p.m. - enquiries to me on 07836202764 in the meantime.

Top – A Gorilla (AKA Andy Parfitt) in a tutu with the Academy

Middle – The formal handshake to confirm that Under 10s Dragons are becoming Wyrley U11s Dragons next season. Managers, Warren Coley, in the middle and Colin Rounds, on the right, with some of the Dragons team – we welcome them to the Wyrley family!

Bottom – RAF crewmen now confirmed as Wyrley supporters.

A great day, I think, was had by all - many thanks to those who attended and particularly those who helped out on the day.
