The last of our 4 presentation nights takes place this Friday – trophies to be presented by Walsall FC player Richard Taundry.

So successful is the format of our nights that other clubs copy them – and the tournament format too!

Copying is the greatest form of flattery!

2011 Presentation Nights Format

The details for the format of this year’s Presentation Nights in the Stadium and Bonser Suites at Walsall FC’s Banks’s Stadium have now been finalised.
Entrance is by cash payment at the door – £3 for adults with non player children £1. Every person entering will have their hand stamped as proof of payment, which must be shown when reentering the room. Each team will be allocated 3 tables of 12 seats each for non players. These will be signposted.
Each night has been organised into 2 shifts (see dates and shifts below for details of which night and time each team has been allocated).
Shift 1 starts at 7.30 – players and family need to be in the Suite by 7.15 please.
Shift 2 starts at 8.30 – players and family need to be ready to enter the Suite at 8.15 please. Whilst shift 1 is taking place a penalty shoot out for each team in Shift 2 (except for May 6th night) will be organised on the astro turf adjacent to the Suite, which is available from 7.00 onwards.
As Shift 2 teams are having their trophies presented, Shift 1 players will move to the astro turf for their penalty shoot out and then return to the room at 9.15.
Penalty Shoot-out winners will receive trophies, presented later in the evening.
Players will be sat with their teams in rows in front of the stage.
Player trophies will be laid out for each team by the committee.
Players’ Player and Manager’s Player trophies will be available from me in the week before each night if managers wish to have them engraved. No other trophies will be presented – teams may organise their own team presentation nights to do this.
There will be a bottle raffle – each team to bring a prize. Bottles to be left with security in the entrance lobby.
Swifty will hopefully be present at the Presentation nights and Wyrley Bear will be present at all nights.
There will be a professional photographer on site to take individual and team photos. There will be a disco until 12.00 after the presentation.
Strictly NO food or drink to be taken into the room!

: RESERVES PRESENTATION NIGHT

A great night for the girls / ladies of both teams including the parents who sat down for a carvery at The White Horse Pub, Cheslyn Hay, followed by the presentation of trophies. Natasha Lilly & Leanne Mitchell getting both dual Players Player & Managers player each at u17′s and Sophie Shorrack getting top goal scorer with 33 this season. With 75% of the u17′s playing also for the Ladies Reserves on a Sunday Natasha Lilly won Managers player of the season and Leanne Mitchell getting Players Player, also top goalscorer with 42 goals this season for the reserves. Lyn at the White Horse complimented on how well the night went and what nice parents and girls we have.

Special Thanks to Jill Richards for sorting out funds etc for u17s and her organising, Andy for running the line and transport to matches and also to Steve Brooks for running the Reserves this season.

Both Martin Millard & Steve Brooks are standing down from the reserves this season to allow Martin Whitehouse & Andy to run the reserves, however we will both be there on a Sunday to watch.

Presentation Nights Format

As agreed at last night’s meeting, the Presentation Nights will be organised as follows: -

Entry - £2 per adult pay at the door. Children free of charge.

Trophies – Each Player will receive a club trophy. Teams can present their Player’s Player and Manager’s Player trophies on the night if they wish. No others will be presented due to time constraints and to meet team requests to present them at individual team presentation night. (NB The Player’s Player and Manager’s Player trophies for the first 2 nights can be picked up from me as they will need to be engraved with the names of the award winners prior to the presentation nights. Trophies for the 15th May will be picked up by me early next week)

Times – There will be two ‘shifts’ to ensure that players do not get bored and that full respect is given to the teams there. The first shift will start at 7.30 Saw V psp prompt. Teams and parents should arrive from 7.00 onwards. There will be 5 teams in the first shift and they will sit together at the front in their team ‘row’. They will be called up by their manager and introduced to the audience. The first part of the presentation will end at 8.15. The second shift will start at 8.30 prompt. Teams and parents attending the second shift should enter the suite at 8.15.

Teams in the first shift will then go on to the astro turf adjacent to the stadium where each manager will organise a penalty shoot out – the winner in each team will get a trophy presented to them when they return to the Stadium Suite. Managers in the second shift may also take their teams onto the astro turf from 7.30 to 8.15 and organise a penalty shoot out if they wish. Again a trophy will be given to the winner in each team.

The Second shift will finish at 9.15 and all players and parents will return to the room to see the Penalty shoot out trophies presented and to enjoy the rest of the night, including the drawing of the raffle (each team to bring a bottle prize).

We have organised a disco for each night and hot food can be purchased from Walsall FC’s excellent catering. Only food and drink purchased at The Stadium Suite can be consumed. Please note that food is available up to 9.00. Brother’s War movie full

Star Guests – Vice film The Club is making arrangements for past and present footballers – male and female – to present the trophies. Swifty the Walsall FC mascot will also be there for photo opportunities!

2009 Presentation Nights

The Club is delighted to announce that the 2009 Presentation Nights will be held in the Stadium Suite at Banks Stadium, Walsall Football Club. Every player within the Club will receive a club trophy during the evening.

The dates are: -

15th May

The Committee will now make arrangements for the following: –

- seating arrangements, with each team to be sat together at the front of the room, whilst the presentations take place

- disco

- Professional Footballers – male and female – to present the trophies

<- Trophies have already been organised

- teams will choose the night they want on a first come, first served basis as we will limit the number of teams per night

Hot food will be available during the evening.
