750,000 hits!!!

The website goes from strength to strength with the number of hits crashing through three quarters of a million today!
There have been nearly 1400 stories published; nearly 1,000 comments made and we now have 860 members of the site.

If anyone wants to know how to write a story, match report etc, please contact me.

Website Hits crash through half a million barrier!!!

The website is becoming more and more well known and used as the main communication channel for the club.

We’ve now had: -

- over 500,000 hits with a record 3,600 hits in one day on Wednesday just gone
- over 750 members including 55 authors
- over 875 comments
- over 1250 stories posted

Website Update & Club Communication

The website usage continues to go from strength to strength, with over 400,000 hits just achieved and a regular 2,000 a day. We now have 723 members of the site, have had over 1,200 stories published and 850 comments made.

I have updated the teams to reflect the 2011/2012 season.

Any manager/author looking for guidance on how to publish a story – please contact me.

We are collecting in email addresses of every parent/adult involved with the club and will then publish our first Newsletter and share by email. Can all managers please continue to collect in the email addresses.

We are pleased to see that the number of hits has crashed through the quarter of a million barrier! We are getting a minimum of 1,000 hits a day, with over 1100 stories posted and over 570 members now logging on regularly.

Let’s get to half a million as soon as we can!

A reminder to all authors on the site – please continue to be positive in your comments about your own players, opposition and officials.
All comments and posts are vetted by 2 website administrators before they are allowed to be posted.

I am delighted to say that this is the 1,000 post (story) that has been published on the website.

We now also have 428 members, have had over 750 comments posted and we have also changed the counter so that it counts pages visited i.e. similar to other sites. We are now getting over an amazing 1500 counts per day and over 106,000 in total! We also get at least 5 new enquiries a week from parents of players wishing to join the club – reason enough for all teams to actively use the site.

Anyone wishing to get guidance on how to write a story, comment or just to become a member should contact me.

I am pleased to see that we have crashed through the 50,000 hits barrier – again these are true individual hits rather than page turnovers.

We now have nearly 360 members of the site with 102 having their own individual icons – if anyone needs help adding an icon, please let me know.

We have had nearly 900 stories posted and nearly 700 comments added – please note you can only add a comment by being a member.

If any team needs me to add a parent or manager as an author – please let me know and I will amend.

The website is now the main communication channel for the club and I am getting at least 1 enquiry a day from non club members asking for details of how to join the club. Let’s keep the usage growing!

Pleasingly we have now gone through the 40,000 hits barrier – these are true hits, not page turnovers!

We have had over 700 stories posted, 500 comments made, 270 members in place with 80 with their personal icons.
You will notice that the background to the site now has the Wyrley logo in shadow format and that major News stories can be kept at the top of the Home page – anyone wanting to be able to do this should let me know.

We have now crashed through the 36,000 hits mark – again these are true hits not just page turnovers! We’ve just had our 250th member, over 400 comments and over 600 posts/stories. We even have managers from other clubs as members and our format being copied!

Keep the stories/photos/reports coming. Anyone who wants help to write a story, upload a photo or their own user icon only has to ask me.

Website – Personal Icons

It is pleasing to see that 116 members now have their own icon – nearly 18% of all members.

Any other members wishing to have their own icon e.g. favourite football team logo etc can do so by following the following procedure: -

Save a logo/picture/photo onto their own folder on their laptop or PC
Go into the members area on Club website and go onto Dashboard
Click on the members icon on left (picture of 2 head and shoulders) and click on Your Gallery
Within the Upload a New Picture section, click on Browse and go to the saved picture in your folders and double click it.
It will then appear in Your Uploaded Images section
Ensure both Main Picture and Is Avatar bullets are clicked
Click Save Changes and ‘hey presto’ all your previous and new comments and posts will have your icon against every entry.

Any problems with following this simple process – please contact me. COME ON – let’s get every member with their own icon!! Even Trevor Smith has managed to follow the instructions!!

Again pleasingly, the activity is getting greater and greater on the site with over 30,000 REAL hits (at least 100 per day), 500 posts, 320 comments and 220 members! Keep using the site and let me know of any improvement ideas you may have.

I’m delighted to see that we now have 200 members of the Club website. If you are a browser and want to become a member, it’s an easy process – see REGISTER on the right of the site. By becoming a member, it enables you to write comments against any post.

We have now had nearly 450 posts and 250 comments on the site, with the number of hits now over 28,000. These are true hits i.e. number of site visits rather than a count for each page looked at as some other sites do. We had a record 184 hits yesterday, following the previous high of 158 the day before, with over 100 hits a day becoming the norm. It is pleasing to see the site now becoming our main communications channel. Any website improvement ideas – please let me know.

Can members have a go at downloading a picture against their profile – this picture will then show against every comment or post written. We have a number of regular contributors with their own ‘icon’ – we even allow Wolves logos to be used! Any problems in doing this, please contact me.

It would be good to get team photos on the site too – but please ensure that players cannot be identified from any player lists included within the team photo post.
