PLEASE SEE A MESSAGE FROM EMILY QUIMBY BELOW. SHE PLAYS FOR OUR LADIES TEAM, RUNNING THE LONDON MARATHON ON SUNDAY AND IS LOOKING FOR SUPPORT FORA WORTHY CAUSE.
I have played for Wyrley Juniors/ Ladies for 11 seasons and have helped coach various teams and refereed many more. This year I will be running the London Marathon on the 13th of April in aid of Children with Cancer UK.
They have three main focuses:
1) To fund research projects looking at causes and treatments of cancer in children
2) Provide support for families in the form of days out, hospice care and financial support.
3) To raise awareness of cancer in children so that parents know what the potential symptoms areTo learn more about this charity you can visit their website at:http://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/

I know this is going to be a big challenge for me (as Keith Hardy will testify I have never been much of a runner!) but it is nothing compared to what the children and their families have to go through.
