Walsall Ladies 1 – 2 Wyrley Juniors
by Phil Turner on Sep.08, 2010, under Girls Under 18s 14/15
Last night the U14s played an 11-a-side friendly against Walsall Ladies and adapted very well to give an excellent performance – despite us still playing 9-a-side football in the Burton League.
The result could possibly have been more emphatic with the woodwork twice and several good saves from the goalkeeper keeping the score down. But ultimately we were pleased to come away with the win as Walsall certainly kept our defence on their toes with some lively attacking play.
Keira Turner and Hollie Hinsley hit the goals for Wyrley.
It was a good run out for both teams prior to the season opener on Saturday and the game was certainly enjoyable to watch. Well done girls and thanks to Walsall for inviting us to play!
Bet there’s a few aching legs out there today 🙂

Hellfire!
Something tells me that the Wyrley Girls are going to give the likes of Arsenal’s Rachel Yankee a serious run for their money.
Well done!
