Well done Wyrley!! – despite not taking the 3 points against our local rivals this was an outstanding performance.  After a tight first half in which Penkridge scored their goal the second half was relentless one way traffic – the only surprise being it took a last minute penalty to save the game!! Unbelievable – a combination of the woodwork, last ditch defending and some excellent ‘keeping kept our girls at bay.

But the penalty….wow…..three goalkeepers would not have stopped it!! Chanice Clarke’s shot hit the back of the net with such power that it’s a good job the posts were well fixed down! There was still time for a last minute goalmouth scramble before Penkridge cleared and breathed a huge sigh of relief!!

Just keep playing exactly the same girls – on another day we would have had double figures!!
