Make no mistake … this was one superb achievement today Wyrley! In 17 games this season TNS have lost only twice – to leaders Wolves and Leafield. In their own Coach’s words … we deserved to have been out of sight by half time such was our dominance of the game! Fair play to them they came out strong second half and reduced our chances but we never looked like losing at any point! Yet again speed was our key – fast at the back, fast in midfield and fast upfront …. coupled with shear determination and fight – we will beat teams by skill, beat teams by effort and if they want to mix it cus they don’t like losing then we are more than happy to beat teams when it gets rough!

From the back we were awesome… Cara in goal – despite a fore arm smash to the face was again fantastic in goal, special mention this week for Chloe Matthews who epitomised the never-say-die team spirit with 2 goal line clearances, Lauren Harris rock solid tackling, take a bow Tina Vidmar – new to the team but showing what a good player she is, Captain Rian – magnificent m8!, Ellie Walker – absolutely sheer quality, Lara – vital second half clearances and total commitment to the team. Into midfield – goal scorer Amy Rollason – anyone who hasn’t seen Amy play will not understand just how quick she is! (I’m not sure I will be able to beat her in training for much longer eh Amy?? ) Super Sophie Tolley – MAGNIFICENT PLAYER no more words required, Scotty – energy personified!, Jade Squire ….. another speed demon, this time on the left wing, together with a superb work ethic – Jade gives absolutely 110% every game and today was no exception! Hayley ‘The Destroyer’ Leese – will not allow herself to be beaten .. and opponents, whoever they are, certainly know they have been in one hell of a battle!! On to the strikers …. Lauren Walker!!!!!! Easily switches between centre forward and centre back such is her quality all over the pitch and she showed it again today!! Cloe Coldicott …. never stopped running, battling, shooting, tackling – great game m8!!!!
Final word for our Linesman Simon ….. Si suffers totally unwarranted abuse in many games … usually because we are destroying a team that is used to winning and haven’t come across Wyrley U18s before!! He conducts himself in a thoroughly professional manner and is a credit to our team! Thanks m8!!!
