Wyrley were¬†not at their best but still came out winners. Stourbridge are a very physical team and Wyrley didn’t match them in the 50/50 battles in the first half, but upped their game in the second.

They went behind as dwelling on the ball led to the Stourbridge striker taking the ball¬†through and hitting home past Nia Jay. Wyrley chances were few and a half time change in postions gave them more of a cutting edge and to match Stourbridge physically. Hayley Turner’s pace created havoc and despite being buffeted on numerous occasions, she despatched 2 well taken goals. Even one of the Stourbridge parents said that her finishing was the difference between the 2 teams.

Nia Jay had an excellent game in goal.

Not the best performance girls but 3 points nevertheless.
