This was going to be a tough test for Wyrley, playing against this seasons premier league winners, however Wyrley kept their shape well throughout the whole game, Tom Peacock and Tom Rowlands defended brilliantly as Wyrley didn’t concede in open play, credit too to the Wyrley Midfield of Elliot Crook, Sam  Foreman, William Meredith and Tom Wheeldon who never gave up, Josh Smith was unlucky on a couple of occasions, striking the crossbar in the first half and going close in the second half with a couple of efforts. Ashmore however had a central defender with a natural quality to striking a dead ball and after a goaless first half, Wyrley were beaten in the second half by two excellent free kicks.

Unlucky boys but an excellent effort well done!
