LICHFIELD JUNIOR YOUTH  SHIELD GROUP B

MATCH REPORT 19/02/12 FC PREMIER 6 V 0 WYRLEY JUNIORS UNITED

This year’s shield draw has given Wyrley Juniors United the opportunity to play against teams from higher divisions within theLichfieldleague U11’s structure. The quality of opposition in division ‘B’ was again on show today, FC Premier were deserved winners and were a clinical and well organised team, however it must be said that Wyrley worked hard, particularly in the second half and when in possession of the ball tried to play the game in the correct manner but on this occasion failed to get on the scoresheet.

Chase Allen was awarded man of the match for an improved performance today, Louie Parish, Tom Wheeldon worked hard up front for United without any reward and Tom Rowlands had yet another solid performance in the United defence. United’s midfield worked hard in the second half and showed a bit more character to make a game of it.

Keep your heads up boys and carry this team spirit forward into the next match.
