Match Report:- Wyrley Juniors United U13’s Season 2013-14

Lichfield League Division 1.

Sportsco Saints 3 v 8 Wyrley Juniors United.

This was United at their full flowing best straight from the kick off, great to see good passing and movement from the lads. United lay siege to the Sportsco goal in the opening 20 minutes or so and were rewarded with three goals, a good strike from Charlie Street from just inside the box, a Sam Foreman header from a well directed Liam Morley corner and Tom Wheeldon finding the net to slot the third. United pushed on and a rout was on the cards however Sportsco to their credit had their best spell of the game in the last 10 minutes of the half and for unlucky United a blocked clearance by a sportsco player found the bottom corner of the Wyrley goal. Half time, The second half began and United were still creating the better chances, Lewis Hill going close at the near post, a little against the run of play Sportsco found the net again, United however responded well and hit yet another purple patch, Wheeldon hit his second, Foreman hit two more to complete his hat trick, man of the match Street hit his second and Liam Morley wrapped up another fine performance with a well hit shot from the edge of the box to score United’s eighth goal. Sportsco hit their third with a few minutes left.

Great win boys well done.
