Match Report:- Wyrley Juniors United U13’s Season 2013-14
Lichfield League Shield Division 1.
Pelsall Villa 7 v 1 Wyrley Juniors United.
A much improved Pelsall team gave United a lesson in finishing today taking their chances well. United started on the back foot and struggled to get any possession in the opening 20 minutes or so, credit to the opposition who raced to a 4-0 lead within this time as United took too long to get up to speed against their opponents. Tom Wheeldon looked lively though and gave United a lift, taking his chance well to give United a brief moment to cheer. Pelsall however replied with two more goals which killed the game off at half time. United re-grouped at half time and credit to them performed better in the second half, Wheeldon, Crook, Peacock and Hall had good chances but just failed to trouble the assured Villa keeper. United defended more solidly too, John Mcdermott given United’s man of the match. Pelsall however did hit one more goal to further show their sharpness in front of goal today.
Tough fixture today lads, first 20 or so wasn’t the best but let’s stick together and work hard to make some improvement for the next game.
