Match Report:- Wyrley Juniors United U13’s Season 2013-14

Lichfield League Division 1.

Heath Hayes  2  v 2 Wyrley Juniors United

United got back to league action today as games had been few and far between since xmas, United found the all weather surface to their liking in the first period and had much of the possession during this half, United should have took lead on a couple of occasions but were denied by an inspired Heath Hayes keeper, United eventually profited by their pressure when a well delivered Liam Morley corner was headed into the net by United man of the match Tom Peacock. United doubled their lead just before half time when Tom Wheeldon broke free inside the box, he followed his initial shot well to slot home the rebound off the keeper. The second half and United were asked to keep up the hard work but Hayes got back into to the game after a spell of pressure, then equalised shortly after this to make for an interesting last quarter of the game, United dug deep and Charlie Hill came on to help steady the ship, to their credit United picked it up a little in the last quarter of the game, Wheeldon was unlucky not to add to his tally, Wyrley therefore had to be content with a share of the points on this occasion.
