Wyrley worked hard throughout this game, but were tested on a couple of occasions by a valiant Beacon team. Wyrley had a couple of shots on goal in the first half but the Beacon keeper kept them out. Tom Peacock competed well in the second half in midfield and so did Alex Price and Tom Rowlands, Will Meredith and Elliot Crook were solid at the back for Wyrley. The first Wyrley goal came about by some tenacity and persistence from Sam Foreman, who challenge for the ball close to the Beacon goal, he deflected the ball back into the roof of the Beacon net. Foreman hit Wyrley’s second too when he capitalised on a defensive error to slide the ball home. Man of the match was given to the whole team for their collective effort.
