WYRLEY TIGERS 1 v 1 HEDNESFORD TOWN

This was exciting game with both teams trying to play attractive football, the first half was evenly matched, Duncan Reilly went close for the Tigers, and there was some good passing football by the Tigers midfield but they just couldn’t prise open the Hednesford defence. The second half was also a tight affair, but Tigers took the lead when a great free kick from Tom Rowlands was glanced into the top corner of the Hednesford goal by man of the match William Meredith. Hednesford however played some intelligent counter attacking football and were rewarded with a well taken equaliser, Tigers responded well and had a couple of chances near the end of the game to win it but the Hednesford keeper had other ideas and played well to earn his side a draw.

GREAT BARR HARRIERS 1 v 2 WYRLEY TIGERS

Tigers continued this good spell of form with a win over a hard working Great Barr team, Man of the match Duncan Reilly was the catalyst behind the Tigers win, he opened his account after a few minutes, surprising the Great Barr keeper with a low shot, but his second not long after his first goal was a fine strike into the top left corner of the net to give the Great Barr keeper no chance. The game was a little untidy after this spell as Great Barr chased the game. The Tigers defence of Brad Clements, Tom Rowlands and William Meredith though did just enough to earn Tigers this win.
