ECCLESHALL EAGLES (u 13s ) 0 – WYRLEY COUGARS 2 (semi – final )

Cougars first half display wasnt great , but still had to much class for the Eagles. Cougars werent playing well but where still creating chances at will Joe Mccann wasting the first , Josh Cowley & Hugh Burrowes both getting the best out of the keeper with two fine saves. Theo Briody finally broke the dead lock half way  through the half Cougars keeper Matt was alive to a long ball which he cleared to Sam Day who  pulled the ball back to Joe Mccann who helped it on to Theo who turned sharply to smash the ball into the net. Cougars started the secound half  better , but it continued like the first with the Cougars on top but wasting chances. Good work on the left from Luke Childs his cross found Joe Mccann was saved by the keeper , Josh Cowleys shot was cleared off the line but Sam Day made no mistake firing the ball hard & low into the corner. Luke Childs should have made it 3 but a boble just as he was clean through saw his shot go just wide. Eagles keeper was by far their best player with the save of the day from a Sam Day free kick that was destined for the top corner . Eagles did threaten on the odd occassion but the Cougars defence stood firm. Well done ladsThe War of the Worlds video Entre les murs move The Emperor’s New Clothes move Major League: Back to the Minors download
