Wyrley Tigers played Ashmore Park Rangers for their first match today. With Owen kicking off with a good run it looked set to be a great match.
Unfortunately however Ashmore Park were awarded a (questionable) penalty in the first half which gave them a 1 – 0 advantage. The Tigers played as a strong unit & had good possession throughout the second half. There were some good goal attempts by Elliot & some great saves by Matthew in goal but unfortunately even with the team playing as well as they did, Ashmore Park managed a 1 – 0 win.

The boys were undeterred thou as they faced Shire Oak Lions for their second match of the day. With a slight change in formation, Thomas made some great saves in goal.
Owen scored a perfect goal in the first half giving WyrleyTigers all the confidence they needed to go into the second half.

With Connor & Ryan both scoring in the second half, it was a well deserved victory for the Tigers.

Excellent job today lads, you really played together as a team!!
