Club supports Heartstart Campaign

The Club provided amazing support to the British Heart Foundation Heartstart campaign by organising free training to it young people – training that could save a life!

Training was tailored to the age group, with the older ones covering the subject in more depth than the younger ones. They all seemed to enjoy it, if the noise levels were anything to go by!

Matt Heward, Community Response Manager for Staffordshire, delivered the training himself with one of his colleagues Nicci, at the end of a long day for them. We had nearly 90 players from U7s upwards taking part!!
The idea is to build on last nights event and make it an annual thing. As the children get older, they will hopefully learn a bit more each time.
Matt said that he would happily come back to do a more in-depth course with the older players, managers, and parents, free of charge. The Heartstart course lasts 2 hours and is suitable for those age 10 upwards. Who would be up for this?

Many thanks to Lee Painter for organising the event.
