Club gives thanks to Local Community!

After receiving notification that the Club had to relocate 2 Academies, 2 11 a side teams, 3 girls teams and a Walsall Junior Youth Soccer centre at very late notice, I must say I have been overwhelmed by the support the Club has received from the following groups: –

Staffordshire FA – particularly Andy Weston

Chris Wood – Partnership Development Manager South Staffs School Sports Partnership

Landywood School – particularly the headteacher

Kate Sharratt – Community Partnership

Cheslyn Hay Sports & Community College

Stuart Ayres – Cheslyn Hay Primary School Headteacher

South Staffs District Council

Without their speed of action and support, the club would not have been able to continue the development of football for 350 boys and girls affected by the decision. It’s only when we need help do we realise the status we have in the Community, with everyone rallying round. One thing I’ve discovered during the last couple of weeks of talking and negotiating with many parties is that the Club provides football facilities to 5% of the TOTAL 5 to 18 year old population in South Staffordshire! Wow! Now to make it 10%!

Our thanks go to everyone of them!
