Donation of a life-saving defibrillator!!

First Response First Aid Ltd is a family run business based in Great Wyrley. The company conduct a range of first aid and health and safety training courses nationwide. They have kindly donated an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the Club
Lee Painter, Training & Quality Manager, said “Sudden Cardiac Arrest results in an estimated 100,000 deaths in the UK each year. If a defibrillator is available and used promptly, it significantly increases the chances of a victim surviving such an event. They are extremely safe to use, and in my opinion all public venues should have one.” He added “Hopefully no-one at Wyrley Juniors ever needs it, but if the situation arises it is reassuring to know it is there.”
The company will also be providing free training to those involved with the club. Ideally we are looking at one parent per team trained to use the equipment.
Keith Hardy, club Chairman, said ‘We are extremely grateful to First Response for their very kind gesture. We are to house the defibrillator in the clubhouse with alongside our existing one, with the medium term plan to situate it at our Harrisons Ground after it has been redeveloped.’
