Meeting Gaz and Trev

by on Jun.08, 2011, under News

Andy Parfitt and Scott Lyons attended an FA presentation on future plans for grass roots football last night. The presentation was very good and gave a good indication of the future of youth football. We were lucky enough to share a table with Sir Trevor Brooking and got to chat with him and Gareth Southgate afterwards.

well of course you 2 are on the same table as Sir Trevor and Gareth. I expected no less.!!!
I used to say that the problem with the FA is they dont talk to the people who are out with the kids actually doing the work. I have been lucky enough to attend a couple of REVIEW meetings at Wembley, The start of the Reveiw process. I have found it very interesting. I was so pleaseed that they have invited teams to this meeting. This is proof they do listen. We may not agree with all the proposals but at least they explain why they want to make these changes. The main thing to come out is to listen to what the children want, they want to play football and enjoy it.
I hope Andy and Scott can their wish and are able to arrange an evening where all this can be explained to the Club as a whole, officials, managers, players and parents.
