Vets 2013

Please see below the proposal for the development of the Over 35’s initiative in 2013.

Proposal:
– Creation of a league consisting of 7 teams
– All teams will play each other once over 3 events (dates below)
– Teams will play 2 games at each event
– Matches will be 20 minutes in length (10 minutes each way)
– There will be a maximum of 2 other games between your fixtures

Venue:
– Cheslyn Hay Sports Centre, 3G Pitch

Dates & Times:
– Friday 1 February 2013, 7pm – 10pm
– Friday 15 March 2013, 7pm – 10pm
– Friday 26 April 2013, 7pm – 10pm
(Teams will kick off at different times at each event. 7 fixtures will be played at each event)

Additional information:
– DOB’s will be requested on the entry forms
– £60 entry fee (a one-off payment or £20 per event)
– On completion of the league in April, we will review the format again in consultation with the 7 teams
– An additional Over 35’s event may be organised away from the league to cater for any new Over 35’s teams who are not part of the league
– First refusal on entry to the league will be given to the 7 teams who have participated in previous Over 35’s events, they are:

1. Hawkins Sports FC
2. HUF UK FC
3. Lichfield City FC
4. Penkridge Juniors FC
5. Shire Oak FC
6. Sporting Khalsa FC
7. Wyrley FC

FEEDBACK REQUIRED FROM TEAMS:
Following on from other feedback received, please let me know your teams’ preference on the two questions below:

– 11 v 11 or 9 v 9 format?
– Offside or no offside?

Finally…
Please let me know if your team would potentially like to join the league; the deadline for entry to the league will be 7 January 2013. Should any of the 7 teams listed above not wish to take part in the league, we will promote the opportunity to other teams to ensure that we have 7 teams playing in the league.ease see Staffs FA propsals for taking the Vets Comp to another level in 2013
