As part of our support for Staffs FA Girls Football week, the club sent 10 girls to the semi-finals of a penalty shoot-out competition held at Cannock Cricket & Hockey Club last night.

We are pleased to hear that the following 3 girls made the final to be held on the pitch at half time at the Walsall v Brentford game on Tuesday 12th April. To have 3 out 4 finalists coming from Wyrley – that’s some going!!

Jess Brennan – Under 10s Lionesses
Katie Cox – Under 12s Tigers
Danni Shepherd – Under 13s Pumas.

Well done girls and good luck in the final.

Let’s hope we have some good support for the girls.

Our thanks also go to Nia Jay and Lauren Cresswell – keepers for U18s girls and Ladies teams – who were in goal for the semi finals.
