Match reports for Lions under 7s 2/11/14

Our first game of the weekend came against Walsall Phoenix Tigers. A very close game that could have gone either way. A great goal scored by the returning Jacob and a fine double save by Arthur was the highlights of the match. Finley was very brave following a bump to his head. The lads improved all round from the previous weeks performances and are getting to see the rewards of their efforts in training.

The second game was a local Derby against the Pumas. The game was a great advertisement for junior football both teams including supporters were a credit to Wyrley Juniors. The Pumas had some great players and passed it around very well. It was fantastic to see how far the Lions had come in such a short time to push the Pumas so hard.

The lions should be very proud of themselves, they have showed great determination and team spirit over the last few weeks. They all looked like they were enjoying the games Sunday and there confidence is improving each game.

Keep up the hard work boys and roll on next Sunday!
