Wyrley Colts Under 11’s stomped to a monster voctory with a 10-1 win over Shire Oak Panthers. Colts started briskly with an early Dylan Sutton goal, though Panthers hit back with a strong equaliser. The game gathered pace with shots peppering the Panthers net leading 5-1 at half time.
The second half saw even more pin-point accurate passing by Colts, though Panthers did have 3 or 4 good shots on target, all saved and defended by the Wyrley back 3. Jake Powers bagged his hatrick and his fourth, with Jack Lyons and Jamie Heston narrowly missing the target. Colts continued the relentless pressure and at the full time whistle had doubled their lead with Jake Powers scoring 4, Tommy Farrow 1, Ryan Lees 1, Dylan Sutton 2 and Cameron Purchase 2 – A valiant effort by Shire Oak Panthers and a stormer for the Colts.
