Tigers v Cresswell Colts
With the Tigers looking to start the new season as well as they finished the last, everyone was itching to get the ball rolling Once the whistle had gone the boys were quick to put their foot on the gas with Cole Askey shifting the ball to the flanks where Joe Rodda and Bradley Nutting were providing good width to the Tigers play. It was from here that the first goal came, With Joe Rodda picking up the ball and running it into the box before dispatching a tidy finish into the far corner from the right hand side of the box. The Tigers good football was rewarded with a second goal before half time, Bradley Nutting managed to squeeze the ball through to Armaan Sohi who very quickly composed himself to finish neatly.
The second half saw the Tigers confidence grow and their passing improved with it with the Tigers retaining the ball very well. Cole Askey hit the post early in the half and followed it with another good effort which the keeper could only parry into the path of Aran Poonian who slotted home from close range. Another goal came from Lewis Hall shortly after he took his goal well from long range following a through ball. Finally Kian Cox rounded things off with a good run and a fine strike from outside of the box . When Joe “safe hands” Timmins was finally called into action in the closing moments he did not disappoint with a fine double save. Well done boys

Tigers v Shire Oak Sharks
The Tigers were given a much tougher test in this game and it took the lads some time to get going, no sooner they had they were one down after a defence splitting pass and a good finish . With the game now going from end to end Joe Timmins was showing his skills between the sticks making two very good saves and Joe Rodda continued from where he finished in the last game, running well with the ball and taking any opportunity to make a cross. it was Joe who got the first goal again with another good strike from the right hand side of the box just before the break. After the break the sharks had the better chances to take the lead but with Joe Timmins now looking unbeatable in goal and Armaan Sohi reading the game well at the back to make two goal saving clearance’s.
The lads hung in there, then bang! A quick counter from the Tigers saw Tom Sutton feed into space just inside the box to finish well with his right foot.

A massive well done goes out to Joe T, Scott, Lewis, Brad, Cole, Kian, Joe R, Armaan, Aran and last but not least Tom. You all performed well today . A good start lads!!!!

Man of the Match today goes to Joe Rodda he was a constant threat today and created several chances for team mates and also managed to get on the scoresheet in both games.
