Newby Lions 3 V Wyrley Junior Panthers 4

14th September 2014

Venue: – Bustleholme

Panther’s had their second of round robin match’s today and it was an exciting game from start to finish.

First half both teams came out with one aim and that was to win. Panther’s picked up from where they left off with their friendly match on Wednesday, attacking and passing from the defence to midfield to the striker’s. Newby Lions were just as committed and from that commitment Panther’s were able to get a free kick from a foul on No3 Dan. No 42 Andy wiped the free kick in to the box and No 9 Will put it in the back of the net. The game went on with both teams attacking when No 20 Joe broke on the right and crossed a ball to No3 Dan who put Panther’s into a two goal lead. Newby lions then fought hard to come back and got two goals but the Panther’s never let this stop them from playing their game play and then just before half time No 9 Will was put through and he finished the move for his second goal.

The second half got under way with Panther’s and Newby Lions working each other’s midfielders, defence and keepers hard. Newby lions broke and with one long looping shot they equalised, once again Panther’s never let this stop them from playing their football and they carried on with No 10 Tom, No 4 Ben, No 42 Andy putting shot after shot at goal and all the midfield players pushing them on with fantastic passes.

Panther’s kept their play build up from all defender’s and they all worked hard when in the last Minutes No 3 Dan put a long through ball up to No 20 Joe who pushed through to score the winning goal.

Today every single player for Panther’s played their part No 1 Kyle the goal keeper, No 5 Callum, No 7 JK, No 23 Murph, No 42 Andy in defence. No 8 Sina Captian, No6 Konnor, No 11 Roo, in midfield and wingers No 20 Joe, No 3 Dan, No 10 Tom and strikers No 9 Will and No 4 Ben.

Well done Panther’s for a fantastic football match.

Once again we had a good Referee who let the game flow and disciplined when required also thanks to Konner and Will’s dad’s for running the line.DSC_0011
