Sunday 4th October 2009
Panthers were cruelly denied an opening day victory in a closely competed game against Gt Barr Harriers. Panthers dominated for much of the game & got their just rewards as a thunderous right foot strike from MotM Thomas Williamson gave Panthers a well deserved lead. The second half was much of the same story with efforts from Ben Malpass going just wide. As the game wore on Harriers began to press forward but were kept at bay by some excellent defending from Jack Miller-Flynn & Harry Richards. With just 30 secs to go the ball broke for Harriers down the left hand side & George Bailey was forced into making a smart save to his right, unfortunately there was a Harriers attacker on hand to cross the ball back into the box giving Harriers an easy opportunity to equalise from an open header.
