In comparison to the previous game, Panthers managed to gain far more possession but still struggled to get near the opposition goal. This was not going to be Panthers day and despite shots from Tyler and Louie which were just wide or well saved plus a good save from Josh, Pelsall scored in the twelfth minute (1-0).

Half Time 1-0.

The second half saw a lot more endeavour from Panthers with a close shot from Louie just skimming the far post from a very tight angle. Just after this, Panthers had a great build up – Louie worked passes through midfield very neatly resulting in a shot from Chase that was well saved by the Pelsall keeper. Pelsall kept pushing forward and made good use of the high wind, taking some long range shots, one of which struck the right hand junction of post and bar. Josh was making some good saves as Pelsall took more and more shots late on but he as unable to keep them all out and Pelsall scored their second on 23 minutes.

Full Time 2-0.

It was one of those days where the hard work just didn’t pay off and Panthers showed the opposition a bit too much respect.

Man of the match was Josh – well done.

It certainly felt like a tough morning with such high winds, but as you say, both teams were playing in the same conditions. If there is one thing Panthers are good at it’s picking themselves up & coming back fighting, so here’s looking forward to the next matches!!

Well done Josh for being man of the match. It was well deserved!!
