Tenbury Utd 1 Wyrley Juniors 1

We wrapped up our season with a disappointing draw away at bottom club Tenbury. Blustery conditions saw Wyrley take the lead midway through the first half when Steve Field latched onto a good through ball and placed his shot wide of the advancing keeper. We really should have doubled our lead but Baker shot way over the top when clean through on goal, we know now why he’s a defender. Tenbury equalised just before half time when we were down to 10 men due to an injured player being treated. Following a 50-50 challenge which looked worse than it was a bit of a fracas broke out and Asbury was sent off for finger wagging, 3 other players were booked and yet it was a clean friendly game. The result meant we finished in 9th position, very disappointing considering our form in the first half of the season. But after picking up 4 bad long term injuries in the early months of the year our chances gradually dwindled away. Which just shows that todays game is a squad game and next season we must have a large strong squad.Four Brothers full
