Lions had a full squad this week and our first game was against Sedgley Scorpions.  Again another evenly matched contest, Scorpions first goal was reminiscent of the Sunderland V Liverpool famous balloon goal.  A second ball entered the pitch while we were defending and unfortunately the lions decided they liked the look of that ball more and defended fantastically well…………. unfortunately they picked the wrong ball and allowed Sedgley to score!

They played well following on from going one down and some determined defending from Isaac ensured we stayed within touching distance. Second half Jacob scored from an acute angle.

Our second game was against Creswell Wanderers and was a great match with every player showing great effort and team work. Several of the squad had their best performance of the season. Charlie scored one of the best goals we will see with an early shot from way out of the area that nearly broke the net. It was great reward for Charlie for the work rate he puts into his training. He rightly was awarded Man of the Match by the parents.

Keep up the hard work lions and well done!
