Walsall FC 1 Wyrley Junior Panthers 3

23rd January 2015

Venue: – Bescot Stadium

Panthers were invited to play a friendly football match against Walsall Talented and Gifted U11’s.

The game was a great experience for all the players of both teams and for the parents who had come to support them.

Panther’s started with their normal manner of football and did not give Walsall any time to settle. From the off they pressured Walsall with some great passing and pressing of the defence but Walsall never let them have all their way. It had taken a good 20minutes before Panther’s pounced when No 4 Ben opened the scoring. Then it was an even match to half time.

The second half was once again a great match as both teams wanted to win so the play was fast with some fantastic football from both teams yet once again Panther’s broke and No 6 Konnor was able to get through and score the second goal. Walsall then pressed Panther’s and a long shot from Walsall went in and they got one back. That made the game more interesting as both teams stepped up another gear but Panther’s started to get through as you could see the team that plays week in week out start to out play the other. Panther’s broke from the right wing and No 10 Tom made it three goals and then Walsall pushed hard and Panther’s defence worked just as hard to keep them out.

Well done Panther’s a great game.
