Wednesfield FC 1 Wyrley Junior Panthers 2

21st December 2014

Venue: – Aldridge Airport

Man Of The Match:- No 3 Daniel

Panther’s played a formidable team today who were very well organised and their passing game was effective, they really made life hard for Panthers to get started.

Wednesfield dominated the game from the midfield and made us work hard to break their defence down. Panthers in the first half were on the back foot when Wednesfield opened the score against us with some great play. Panthers defence worked hard for the next ten minutes pushing attack after attack back which helped to turn up the pressure on Wednesfield , which then enabled our midfield  to push up and make some great moves forward when just before the half time whistle No 6 Konnor struck a great ball and made it one all.

The second half started off with Panther’s doing the attacking but it was quite hard work as Wednesfield made sure we did not get all the ball play. The game was very even until Panthers started to control the midfield and passing became more accurate which then turned the game round in the last ten minutes. Wednesfield defence was reluctant as attack after attack was pushed back when No9 Will crossed the ball in the box area and No 20 Joe Scrambled a second goal for Panthers. The last five Minutes was exciting as both teams gave their all.

Today we had no referee so two young men volunteered  from both teams and they did a brilliant Job, also thanks to Daniel No 6 Konnor’s brother for running the line.

Well done Panther’s.
