We moved to the Central Warwickshire League for more competition, we moved up an age group to U18s, we strengthened over the summer – bringing in some quality players – and today in our opening match….. we were simply awesome!!!!

Absolutely fantastic performance girls!!!  From the moment Amy Rollason hit a screamer into the top corner of the net from the edge of the box the result was never in doubt. A brave headed goal by Rian Mullen from a corner was followed by a second for Amy and after that even two teams wouldn’t have caught us!! Second half and no let up – another superb Rian header from another corner made it 4 before super striker Ellesse Birkett hit a stunning long range free kick straight into that top corner yet again ….. you just knew it would go in!!

Amazing display by every single Wyrley player all over the pitch but Ellie Walker really was outstanding!

Squad: Cara Turner, Emily Pettit, Ellie Deakin, Chloe Matthews, Rian Mullen, Lauren Harris, Ellie Walker, Lara Morris, Emma Stacey, Lauren Walker, Sophie Tolley, Emily Scott, Chloe Caldicott, Ellesse Birkett, Jade Squire, Amy Rollason
