This was the Lions first match of the season and the team had most of the play in the oppositions half. Joshua Guest scored a fantastic goal dribbling the ball most of the length of the pitch and then shooting hard a low into the goals. Sporting Khalsa managed to score before half time. The Lions showed great determination with Ella Spears and Charlie Smith making themselves a nuisance in the centre of the pitch.
Richard Sutton had a good chance to score only being thwarted by a hand ball that went unpunished. The Lions scored again from a free kick hit powerfully from 20 yards by Josh Guaest.
Sporting Khalsa managed to score before the end.
Well done lads and Ella a really good performance for your first game.
