Continental Stars today put pressure on the Panther’s with a first half of high octane football. With the wind behind the Panther’s they opened the score with a power full shot from No9 Will that beat the keeper. Continental Stars pushed their way through and pulled one back they then went on to score a second. Panther’s then pushed back and scored their second goal from No 6 Konnor with a run from midfield to make it two all. Continental pushed their way back into the lead with a third goal, Panther’s replied with a great long ball from No 3 Dan that flew over the keeper to make it all even again.
The second half started and Panther’s were playing in to the wind this time and they came out and put lots of pressure on Continental with shot after shot. Panther’s No 9 Will broke the deadlock with his second goal. Panther’s were then put on the back foot as they came under pressure from Continental but Continental were soon pushed back by the Panther’s defence and goal keeper. Panther’s kept the pressure on their oppositions defence when No 20 Joe pushed through to score the final goal.
The Young Referee had a hard match today, also thanks to Kyle and Murph’s dad’s for running the line.
Well done Panther’s .
