Wyrley Junior Tigers 2 Wyrley Junior Panthers 6

21st September 2014

Venue: – Leamore Park

Panthe’s Team – No 1 Kyle the goal keeper, No 5 Callum, No 7 JK, No 3 Dan in defence. No 8 Sina Captian, No 6 Konnor, No 11 Roo, in midfield and wingers No 20 Joe, No 42 Andy, No 10 Tom and strikers No 9 Will and No 4 Ben. I mention the Panther’s all by name because they played outstanding as a team and all deserve the credit for the win today.

The match between Tigers and Panther’s was priceless, first half saw a game where both teams wanted the win with some great passing from both sides. Panther’s scored first with No 20 Joe breaking away from Tigers defence and scoring the opening goal which was followed up by No 42 Andy putting two more in from the left. Tigers then broke through with some great passing to get there first goal. Panther’s then replied with No 4 Ben chasing down the ball and having a shot that No 10 Tom tapped in the back of the net. Tigers once again rallied and got a corner scoring their second goal just before half time.

As the second half got under way Panther’s started to dominate the game with some real good runs from defence and midfield, when No 6 Konnor hit the ball from deep in Tigers half to score goal number five. The constant pressure from Panther’s attacks on Tigers defence resulted in them losing their shape. Panther’s were then wining corner after corner when No 9 Will scored another goal passed the keeper to make it six.

Once again we had a good Referee who let the game flow, also thanks to Kyle and Bens dad’s for running the line.

Well done Panther’s for a fantastic football match.
