Wyrley Junior Warriors U 7’s, Match Report. 11/10/15, Venue – Cheslyn Hay.
by Lee Richardson on Oct.11, 2015, under Match Reports, Under 10s Warriors 18/19
As always this young team of Wyrley Warriors, played with great team spirit, enjoying every moment of their 2 games against Shire Oak Saints and Sedgley Scorpions West.
It’s great to see the teams improvement week by week, and even when things don’t go the Warriors way all the players stay committed, trying their best, always competing.
Two cracking strikes today the first from Harry Barrett, showing his strength and speed following a great run and the second from Cole Salmon, bursting the back of the net with his close range strike.
Jack Richardson what an engine, never stopped battling chasing down every ball. Great also to see Jack Morgan getting stuck in, throwing in some classy turns along the way.
Lovely silky skills from Isaac Lewis, who was unlucky not to grab a couple of goals of his own. The always dependable Lewis Gandy, creating space, making great runs, not forgetting to work back when needed.
Good vision from Hayden Smith with some quality passes (glad to see someone remembered what we practiced in training). Alfie Jones, solid in the tackle and good to see him venturing further forward at every opportunity.
Quality saves from my two keepers for the day, Jake Scott with a couple of point blank saves against Shire Oak and Carter Bentley who kept us in the second game with some quality saves.
Well done boys, I’m already looking forward to next week!
