The Warriors had a depleted squad today with Cole & Lewis missing due to illness, get well soon boys!

It was a mixed performance with games against Walsall Phoenix Dragons and Bloxwich Rangers Eagles at Sporting Khalsa.

Like last week we were slow starters in our first game, Walsall Phoenix, were faster sharper more switched on, beating the Warriors to every ball. Gutted as the Warriors had worked so hard in training.

Quickly moving on from our first game and after a pep talk from the manager it was all change in the 2nd game against Bloxwich Rangers Eagles.

What a transformation, from the kick off we were at them, on the attack with H and Isaac leading the charge. Both were great in this game, H showed some lovely composure on the ball and was rewarded with a fabulous hat trick. Isaac grabbed 1 early on in the first half and was unluckily not to grab a few more. Alfie and Carter were back on their game too, great defending with some lovely turns, showboating!

Jake was back at it too, big tackles, lots of energy, great control on the ball now starting to look up to and supply that killer pass to his team mates.

The 2nd half saw a couple of changes along with a change of goal keeper, but no change in attitude or commitment. Jack the lad, was rewarded with just the 4 goals in the 2nd half (and there’s me thinking he was going to be a Centre Half like his old man). I could see Hayden was pleased to get on the scoresheet to, as his smile was from ear to ear.

I experienced lot of ups and downs today but I’m so proud that the Warriors didn’t just role over after that first game and give up. All the boys really dug in and showed a lot of character today 7 man of the match awards I think!
