Wyrley Juniors 0 vs 4 Crystal Fountain
by Nigel Crook on Sep.29, 2013, under Match Reports, Men Sunday Team 14/15
Wyrley suffered their heaviest defeat of the season against early league leaders Crystal Fountain.
They fell behind after about 10 minutes when James Goddard mis-judged a high ball and the Crystal striker was left to stroke into an empty net. Wyrley went close to equalising when Tom Kneller met a Haydn Nash cross from the left, only for the keeper to turn it away for a corner. As the half drew to a close Dan Bourke threw the ball back to Goddard who failed to control & clear the ball, allowing Crystal to double their lead with a simple tap in.
Half Time 0-2
Nothing Wyrley tried worked and the second half performance was probably worse than the first. Crystal scored two further goals as they deservedly came out winners in this top of the table clash.
