The mens 1st Team got their pre-season schedule under way on Wednesday night with a hard fought friendly against Chasetown Reserves.

Wyrley has the better of the first half and went in at the break 2-0 up after goals from Chris Geldart and Chris Fowler. Both teams rang the changes in the second half and a change in system by Chasetown allowed them to get back in to the game and they struck back with two well taken goals during the second half.

This was a  promising start for Wyrley ahead of the their first season in the West Midlands Regional League Division 1 and the next scheduled friendly is on Tuesday 20th July against Newport Town at Harper Adams College in Telford.
