Wyrley continued their run of victories with a battling performance against Railway, despite again having 5 players missing.

The first 10 minutes saw Wyrley in control & they took the lead when man of the match Matt Higgs played a deft pass inside the full back for Jay Brown to slot past the keeper. From then on Railway dominated possession without creating any clear chances. Wyrley could have increased their lead with Tom Kneller having a couple of chances & Josh Bradley heading over the bar from a Dan Bourke corner.

Half Time 1-0

Wyrley again started the half well but the game followed the same pattern and Railway continued to enjoy most of the play. They were rewarded when a cross from the right was tucked home with 20 minutes still remaining.

The Wyrley winner came from an unlikely source when Ashley Gunn met a free kick from Josh Griffiths to slot home on the run.
