Hoping for a better game for the spectator this week Wyrley started well and played some lovely passing football and were rewarded on 2 mins when Chelsea found herself 40yds out and the ball bounced just right for her to smash it at the goal and beat the keeper 1-0.  20 mins Sophie collected a cross and slotted the ball under the keeper 2-0.  34 mins Leanne sprinting down the line crossing to Sophie on the edge of the box and calmly side footed past the keeper 3-0.  36 mins Lauren with a tremendous 1 handed save to deny Warndon a goal.

2nd half started with the same great passing by Wyrley and on 46mins Leanne crossed from the right to Lauri who managed to beat the off-side trap and lob the keeper 4-0.  52 mins Tash on the D of the penalty box fired a shot passed the keeper 5-0.  59mins Leanne rounded 2 defenders and placed her shot to the left of the keeper 6-0.  67mins Leanne put another superb cross into the box and this time Kirsty finished it off, Kirsty had previously missed 3 chances to score, so deserved this 1, 7-0.  78mins once again Leanne with the run up the wing and great cross to Sophie who was unmarked in the box and chose which side to place it past the keeper 8-0.  79mins Lauri smashed the ball into the roof of the net from the edge of the box 9-0.  89mins once again Leanne with the cross and Lauri finished it off 10-0.  Jody, Kirsty, Ash and Charlie were quick to close down any attacks by Warndon, so Lauren’s goal was left unbreached apart from some speculative long range efforts.  Tash, Leanne, Chelsea and Sam held the ball up well in midfield and sent many balls forward.  Sophie and Lauri had many chances and both ended the day on a hat trick.

This was a much better display of football this week, but saying that, Warndon were unfortunate not to score and never stopped trying all game.  Not to take anything away from Wyrley, Warndon only had 9 players, but each 1 of them played with enthusiasm and never game up.

Well done girls, nice to keep a clean sheet.
