Wyrley Juniors U15’s Girls Weekend Game

Coundon Court 1 v 1 Wyrley Juniors

This was very much a game of two halves, on a slopping pitch Coundon had much of the possession in the first half, Wyrley however defended well and always looked a threat on the break, Ilora Anderson’s good run and then shot just missing the far post. Coundon got some reward for their pressure when they scored following a corner just before half time. Wyrley knocked the ball around well in the second half, they also stood up well to the physical challenge that Coundon presented, Danni Biggs, Jaffa and Kate Lawton all went close for Wyrley, there was also some good approach play from Meg Titley and Abi Hall, a great ball in the box from Hall eventually found Lawton who brought Wyrley level. Alicia Baker impressed up front and held the ball up well Wyrley but Wyrley just couldn’t manage the all important goal to take all three points. Wyrley were solid enough at the back too, well done Karis, Jordan, Abby, Ellie, Hayley amd Lauren.
