Wyrley Juniors 2 v 0 Belverdere,

A solid performance from the girls ensured Wyrley got off to a winning start,  Belverdere are a strong team and to their credit they never stopped competing, but Wyrley had that little bit of extra quality and created several opportunities to score during this game. Wyrley took the lead when Lucy Wells hit a perfect free-kick, the ball sailing into the top corner of net from fully 25 yards. A fine move down the Wyrley left  and a excellent cross from Meg Titley was met by Danni Biggs, her header hitting the underside of the crossbar. The second half Wyrley created several chances, Megs, Lu, Kate Lawton and Abi Hall all went close before Wells capitalised on a defensive error to put Wyrley 2 up. Wyrley defensive line was rarely breached this was down to some excellent work from Abby Judson, Jordan Parker, Jaffa, Nadine Costello, Ellie Whitehouse and Lauren Manton.

Well done girls an excellent effort.
