STAFFS COUNTY CUP FIRST ROUND

WYRLEY JUNIORS UNDER 16’s MATCH REPORT FOR

WYRLEY JUNIORS 1 v 5 WALSALL GIRLS

Wyrley more than played their part in this cup tie, but came up against a strong and clinical Walsall team on the day, Walsall went 3 up before half time and showed some of the qualities which as took them to the top of the premier division, however Wyrley never gave up and created chances through Lucy Wells, Danni Biggs and Wyrley man of the match Chloe Coldicott but just failed to open their account. The second half Wyrley started the brighter Walsall taking their foot off the gas and allowed Biggs to race clear and hit a great shot into the bottom corner of the net. Wyrley never eased off and their fitness and stamina shone through, Walsall however took their remaining chances well to finish the game 5-1 victors.

Tough game girls but you never let your heads drop and battled to the very end of the game, great effort.
