Wyrley Juniors U16’s 3 v 2 Wolves U15’s

Wyrley entertained Wolves U15’s for their last game prior to the season starting, Wyrley expected a tough game and weren’t disappointed. The visitors although a year younger held the ball well and played some neat football for the first 20 or so minutes, all the Wolves players looking very comfortable on the ball,  Wyrley began to settle into the game after this period, and a great through ball found Megs who took her chance well to put Wyrley 1 up. Wolves reated positively and raised the tempo of the match, equalising from short range and then taking the lead just before half time with a well placed shot from the edge of the box. In the second half Wyrley also went up a gear and began to see more of the ball, Wyrley equalised through Danni Biggs from close range, Wyrley defended well and looked a threat on the break, the move of the game saw Abi Hall make ground down the right, play and excellent give and go and deliver a ball to Lucy Wells who dispatched Wyrleys third into the Wolves goal.

This was an excellent performance girls, you worked hard for each other and got the reward you deserved.
