FRIENDLY V WYRLEY JAGUARS U11’s
WYRLEY JUNIORS JAGS 2 v 3 WYRLEY JUNIORS UNITED
A break in the league programme for cup games enabled these two Wyrley teams the opportunity to play each other in this friendly encounter. Both teams played the game in the correct spirit and no doubt took some positive notes forward into next weeks league games. The Jags took the lead when a well struck corner dipped just beneath the crossbar. United responded well, Louie Parish broke clear, his pass found Tom Wheeldon who opened United’s account from inside the box. United’s heads lifted and shortly after a well delivered Tom Rowlands corner was met superbly by Tom Peacock to volley United’s second. A great 10 minute spell by United was then polished off when yet another Parish assist found Sam Foreman who hit United’s third from the six yard box. Jags came back in the second half and pulled a goal back, and finished strongly but just failed to get that equalising strike. United put in a great team effort from keeper to striker and all made a contribution at some point during this match.
Well done boys!
