CANNOCK TOWN 4 v 1 WYRLEY JUNIORS UNITED

Wyrley suffered only their second defeat of the season to a clinical Cannock Town side. Wyrley can however reflect on possibly what might have been if some of the many chances created could have been taken.Cannock took their chances well and went one nil up during the first half, Wyrley had a few chances but the luckless Louie Parish just failed to apply the finishing touch to a few opportunities, that seemed to set the tone for the rest of the game for Wyrley.Cannock went two up within a few minutes of the second half, Wyrley however never gave up and were rewarded when a free-kick on the edge of the box was converted by Wyrley man of the match Sam Foreman.Cannock then scored two quick goals taking their opportunities well, Wyrley still competed well and were unlucky not to add to their goal tally before the final whistle, Tom Wheeldon and Louie Parish unfortunate not to hit the target.

Just one of those games today lads, showed great spirit and heart to keep battling until the end however the usual “late show” didn’t quite happen this week but still a good performance, we are dominating games just need to take our chances!!
