Our games today were played at Walsall again . As usual we were able to field a full turn out of determined and committed players.

We had a tough first game against FC Premier. We had an excellent first half beginning with Jack coming close to scoring ,before a superb goal from Isaac put Warriors ahead. Two good saves by Cole and good tackling by Carter kept FC at bay. Eventually FC drew level but this half  witnessed  some excellent passes -Carter to Isaac who hit the bar and Hayden to Jack who nearly scored . Both Hayden and lsaac came close to doubling the Wyrley score.

In the second half FC showed how quick they can be and made short work of the Wyrley defence. The Warriors had no answer to FC’s No5 who is a very skilful player. However , Cole pulled one back by outwitting FC’s defence for once.

Our second match  was played against West Brom All Stars . Wyrley were shocked by two quick goals in the first few minutes but didn’t allow this to dishearten them. Carter stopped a West Brom attack from  which Isaac went on to score another  great goal. In this match the Wyrley defence was much improved and Harry made an excellent save. Isaac outshone All Stars by running the whole length of the pitch and nearly scored. After this he passed to Lewis who scored and the game was back on. Straight  away Isaac scored again ! Despite some great saves, All Stars eventually got past Harry but Warriors retook the lead when Cole broke clear and scored.

In the second half All Stars were awarded a penalty and drew level. This obviously spurred them on and they retook the lead despite Alfie working hard in defence. Hayden came close to an equaliser but time just ran out for Warriors. However due to an infringement of the rules Warriors have been awarded the match.

Isaac and Hayden were awarded man of the match awards. Isaac for superb commitment both in attack and defence and Hayden for listening to and following the coach’s advice .
